SUMMARYProduct overview My Online Accountant is an online bookkeeping product developed by a firm of Chartered Accountants in conjunction with software developers. The product provides an efficient framework for businesses to comply with record keeping requirements, analyse and understand the business, and produce statutory accounts, VAT returns and other legal requirements. All financial information, from summary totals to source documentation can be viewed online. There are no downloads required, and no updates. The information can viewed from any location, at any time. The product has been designed to provide a secure, easy to use, cost effective platform to allow directors and managers to focus on the critical areas of the business. Scope of product The product is currently designed for ‘Limited’ companies, but can be easily adapted to include other company types, provided the business has its own bank account. Scope of document This document has been provided to offer a high level overview of My Online Accountant. The document is not designed to provide assistance with document processing routines, give detailed product information or specific accounting advice. It contains a key features section including information on security and back-ups and a pictorial representation of the system (page 5). An illustrative ‘user home page’ is shown. This provides some understanding of the financial reporting; system navigation; and analysis methods. Links to further information are also included. |

My Online Accountant has been designed to provide all key company financial information and analysis in one package. The information is available to view online from any location at any time, and provides real-time analysis and reporting.
ILLUSTRATIVE USER HOME PAGE
After registration and log in you are directed to the user home page. The whole site is navigable from this page. Below is an illustrative user home page containing summarised financial information. The page shows the most up-to-date financial position and performance of the company. The 'live' snapshot, including a best estimate of the corporation tax due, is updated after each new transaction is processed.
More detailed analysis of each element is found by simply clicking on the value that you wish to breakdown further.
The user can 'drill' into each profit and loss, or balance sheet total to view the analysis,
ultimately drilling down to an individual invoice or the source document.
Document processing; company information; reporting; alerts and account queries are all directly
linked from the user dashboard making site navigation quick and easy to understand.
